  • Cruse Bereavement Support Scotland offers support including helpline, live chat, counselling, and information for anyone affected by the death of someone they know. 
  • The Compassionate Friends provide one-to-one support, local support groups and produce a range of publications for parents, children, grandparents and professionals, as well as a website specifically for people dealing with the death of a brother or sister.
  • Way Widowed & Young offers support and friendship to bereaved men and women up to the age of 50, parents and those without children.
  • Grief Works outlines the 8 Pillars of Strength that can help coping with grief and bereavement. 
  • Let’s Talk About Loss offers supportive meetups to help people aged 18-35 cope with their grief.

Loss by Suicide

  • SOBS - Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide supports those bereaved by the suicide of a close relative or friend, aiming to provide a safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so giving and gaining support from each other.
  • Petal supports families and friends of murder and suicide victims through telephone counselling. Phone - 01698 324 502.

Pet Loss

  • Blue Cross is a pet charity looking after the welfare of our animals. They provide a free talking service for those grieving for the loss of a pet. You can contact them via email or through their confidential online form.​

Pregnancy Loss

  • Glasgow Pregnancy Choices - Confidential emotional support, information and advice after any baby loss including abortion and miscarriage.
  • Tommys can help support you through baby loss. They offer a midwife’s helpline, Facebook groups and Black and Black Mixed Heritage helpline.
  • Sandyford Counselling and Support Services provides counselling to people who are considering or have had a termination of pregnancy.
