Computing and ICT Facilities

The world at your fingertips

Our state-of-the-art computing and ICT facilities let you browse the latest resources using a range of platforms including Mac, PC and powerful wireless laptops.

Designed for the digital age, our campuses are equipped with a massive infrastructure of over 250 high-spec computers and Macs across our libraries alone. Once you’ve enrolled, you’ll be given a unique network login account.

This lets you access a number of facilities, including:

  • A private network folder for storing coursework.
  • Shared course network area.
  • Printing facilities.
  • High-speed internet access.
  • Email accounts.
  • Online course materials from the virtual learning environment.
  • Network software.
  • Specialised audio and video equipment.

Whatever your need, you'll find specialist computers equipped with the latest word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and browsing packages. Pre-paid printing facilities are also available in open-access areas like our libraries.

A wireless network is available in various locations. Plus you can book wireless laptops in many of our Learning Resource Facilities.

By providing the latest tools and a professional environment, we ensure that you aren't just learning how to use a computer—you are mastering the digital landscape of your future career.

Security

For your security, use of all equipment is subject to the rules in our acceptable use policy. These can be found in your student handbook and on the college intranet, and are also displayed when you log in to the network.
