Overview

Please note - this is a schools college partnership course for school students in S4-S6.

Italy is rich in history and culture, as well as being a beautiful language to listen to and speak. It is spoken in Switzerland, San Marino and parts of Croatia and Slovenia, as well as Italy itself.

Italy is the seventh largest global market for British exports. So, there are plenty of opportunities to use Italian in a wide range of industries and organisations. It is one of the top five business languages currently in demand in the UK.

This course aims to help you develop your reading, listening, talking and writing skills in a variety of contexts. You will encounter a wide range of different types of texts in different media. In addition, the course also provides you with knowledge of Italy and the customs and way of life of the Italian people.
