Sustainability Strategy

City of Glasgow College’s commitment to environmental sustainability is set out in our Sustainability Strategy which identifies a clear focus and targets in relation to Energy usage, Carbon footprint, Waste management, Transport & health, Protection of natural habitats, Procurement requirements, and a commitment to environmental education.  

Our Sustainability Strategy aims to: 

  • Develop and implement sound environmental management policies and practices across the college in reaching Scottish Government net zero greenhouse gas emissions. 
  • Reduce emissions from all greenhouse gases by 75% by 2030. 
  • Reduce carbon emissions by 60% against 1990 baseline by Academic Year 2023/24. 
  • Minimise waste ensuring zero waste to landfill.
