The Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0 is a vast concept of revolutionising modern factories using a wide range of top technologies. Topics such as Autonomous Robotics, Big Data, Augmented Reality, Cybersecurity, and others play an important role in I4.0 concept. With these technologies combined, the aim is for a Smart Factory to run autonomously, continuously optimising its production processes using gathered data and visualising it for systems operators and technicians.
Competition Overview
Your task, as a Digital Production Systems Technician, is to modernise a module of the production system, based on certain requirements. It includes PLC & HMI programming, developing SCADA systems for displaying live data, use of augmented reality and integration of external devices for cybersecurity, data collection and analysis.
