The UK Shipbuilding Skills Taskforce was appointed for 18 months in July 2022 to develop a skills strategy for shipbuilding in the UK, to ensure the industry has a skilled workforce. Hon. Cap. Dr Paul Little CBE, Principal and Chief Executive of City of Glasgow College, is the Chair of the Taskforce.

On Monday 11th September, the Taskforce published its report, A Step Change in UK Shipbuilding Skills, and a supporting toolkit for shipbuilding employers, How to Leverage UK Skills Systems.
