Access to Maritime and STEM (Pre-cadeship)
If you’re interested in a career within the merchant navy our access to maritime and stem course is the best first step. You’ll gain an insight into the three Merchant Navy career specialisms Deck, Electro-technical or Marine Engineering as you discover the area that interests you most. You’ll be taught by qualified and experienced maritime lecturers including serving masters and industry experts, using our state-of-the-art facilities which include a ship simulator and engine room. The course will provide you with an access route into our wide range of HNC/HND Cadetships programmes.
Nautical and Marine Engineering Cadetship Programmes
Our training programmes are highly respected and provide you with internationally recognised qualifications, as you graduate ready for a career in the Merchant Navy. By studyying a cadetship, you'll combine studying at college with practical hands-on training working on board a ship at sea. You'll develop your practical skills using our fully operational ship engine room, ship simulator, and engineering workshop. Our courses will allow you to pursue a career as an Officer as sea, including an Officer of the Watch, Deck Officer of the Watch, Engineering Officer of the Watch or Electro Technical Officer.You’ll learn using our state-of-the-art facilities which include a ship simulator and engine room.
