Flats and houses
If you have a small group of friends you could share a furnished flat, or house somewhere in the city. You'll split the rent, food bills and cleaning, plus chip in together for things like heating and lighting. This type of accommodation can often prove cheaper than other alternatives.
Lodgings
Renting a room in a private house is another popular option. The landlord will also live in the house, perhaps with their family. And remember — you'll probably have to share the bathroom and kitchen.
Finding Accommodation
There are a number of ways to find a property with a private landlord. Some landlords manage the letting process themselves, while others use letting agents to help them rent and maintain their property.
