Project Introduction
BCTG Construct is a consortium of educators, industrialists, and designers who aim to transform the way that construction-based training programmes are delivered in the UK. We are creating a blended learning programme that supports the construction industry to increase productivity, reduce inefficiencies and close the technical skills gap by offering supervisors an anytime, anywhere learning experience.
Project Outputs
BCTG Construct has produced a e-learning platform that includes twenty 90-minutes modules aimed at supervisors and site managers in the construction industry.
The modules cover skills related to three different areas:
- Traditional construction for example Estimating & Measuring, Conservation & Groundworks.
- Skills relating to Industry 4.0 and Digitalisation for example Smart Material & Building Information Modelling.
- Skills that relate to personal qualities for example Resource & Project management, Sustainability, Health & Safety & Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
In addition to the online platform a book version has been created to enable offline access to the materials.
