Employment opportunities for students at hospitality and culinary industry event
Students from across City of Glasgow College’s four faculties are encouraged to attend an Industry Day at the college’s City campus on Thursday 21 April.
The event will host a wide range of employers from the hospitality and culinary sector, who will be on hand with job offers for students interested in working full-time or part-time in the industry.
May Donald, Associate Dean for Culinary at the College, is organising the event and said:
“This event is for all students attending the college. It is of course a valuable opportunity for those studying to work in this sector but, with part-time positions available, it’s also a fantastic chance for anyone looking for some much needed paid employment.
“We have a range of employers attending from hotels to restaurants to bars, so lots of variety. This is an exciting sector to work in with a wide variety of roles and environments to choose from, and which really can take you anywhere in the world.”
The event runs from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Thursday 21 April on the mezzanine at City campus. Some of the organisations being represented include:
- The Ivy Restaurant
- The Scotsman Group
- Hilton Glasgow
- Grand Central Hotel
- Blythswood Square Hotel
- Scottish Event Campus
- Itison
- Crerar Hotels
- Xpressjobs
- Radisson Blu
The event is in-person and students wishing to attend should simply go along between 10.00am and 2.00pm on the day.
