College students get creative for COP26
In support of COP26, students from City of Glasgow, Glasgow Clyde and Glasgow Kelvin Colleges have been designing projects, events, products, and services that support the themes of COP26.
Working in partnership with Bridge 2 Business, the Glasgow Collab aims to shine a spotlight on ideas and projects created by NQ students across the three colleges.
A series of virtual events and workshops are taking place which people can sign up to attend during the COP26 summit.
Jacquie Shaw, Associate Dean for Media at City of Glasgow College, said:
“This innovative collaboration is captured as a virtual showcase, and hosted on an online platform. It’s designed to capture the work and events produced by our students, as well as hosting a series of Bridge 2 Business ‘special guest’ workshops that will take place from 1 to 12 November.
“This is an ideal opportunity for our students to be part of a truly collaborative Glasgow wide response to the climate emergency. We are getting to see a student perspective on COP26 through their innovation and creativity. It’s a fantastic learning experience for us all.”
The collaboration has been illustrated with a logo by Caitlin Louise Haswell, an HND Media & Communications student at City of Glasgow College, who will also be part of a Student Spotlight workshop which takes place on 11 November.
The series of events and workshops kicks off on Tuesday 26 October with the Social Innovators Challenge Launch.
