Overview
This course will give you a range of practical and theory-based skills in health, fitness and sports. Your ability to plan, coach and play sports will be developed, including leading exercise and fitness sessions. You'll develop a knowledge of the world of work, gaining volunteering and employability skills and experiences.
The course covers a range of SQA Level 6 units which allow a clear progression pathway to HN level study, or other further education courses.
This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 6.
Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
- Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English; OR
- NQ/NC qualification at SCQF level 5 in a Sports related subject; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

ESOL entry requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
