    The Event Industry offers exciting career opportunities within corporate, hospitality, sporting, charity and live performance sectors both nationally and internationally. This course will provide you with theoretical knowledge, and practical skills for event delivery alongside the development of meta-skills required to undertake a variety of job roles within this industry or entry to higher-level Event Management and other related courses.

    You will study subjects associated with the planning and organising of events, event sectors, event costing, administration and skills for business, and marketing alongside developing communication, team working and decision-making skills.  You will develop entrepreneurial and business skills. 

    Our highly skilled lecturing staff have a vast amount of relevant industry experience to inspire your learning with a wealth of industry connections to help grow your networking contacts.

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualification Framework at level 6.

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English; OR
    • NQ/NC (minimum 16 credits) at SCQF level 5 preferably in Events, Business or related subject; OR
    • Other equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
