Overview

This course is designed for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of construction but may not have yet decided on a specific trade. It covers the basics of various trades, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the field. This will enable you to explore different career paths within construction and determine the direction you want to take.

This course offers practical, transferable skills and theoretical knowledge of the Construction Industry to help you find a job.

This course will run from January - June.

This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 5. 

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

• One National 4 qualification; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

ESOL entry requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

Careers

This course prepares you for a career within the Construction Industry.

Continuing Study

Successful completion of this course would allow progression onto any of the NPA (National Progression Awards) within the construction department.
