    With a growing economy in digital technologies and a requirement for a workforce to be skilled in technical roles NQ Computing (Level 6) provides a platform to develop your technical computing skills. This course will provide you with practical and theoretical skills in a range of vital subject areas and prepare you for progression to higher level HN computing-based programmes within the college.

    The course is delivered by highly qualified computing lecturers who have experience within the industry.

    The course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 6. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics or Numeracy; OR 
    • Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

    You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject area or we'll make an offer based on your application form.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

    You can go on to study a Higher National level course. The most common are our HNC Technologies into Business, Web Development and Design. You may be accepted onto other computing-related courses.
