In our digital world, everything is data-driven. Working with data is now an essential skill.   This brand-new course presents an ideal introduction to one of the most promising and in-demand career paths for the 21st century.

Utilising the tools and techniques of data science, you’ll explore the main methods of data analysis, and use industry-standard software to identify patterns and trends in data.

You’ll explore current practices in corporate data security and consider the creation of a data security policy for a professional organisation. Taking ethical, legal and professional considerations into account, you’ll be able to justify policy decisions based on best practices.

You’ll investigate the importance of online safety and explore methods that can be used to reduce the risk of cyber-attacks. You’ll consider the role of social engineering in cyberattacks and the implications of cyber threats for personal privacy.
