Overview

This practical day release qualification gives you skills and confidence to take on health and safety responsibilities in the construction industry.

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the construction industry loses around 2 million working days each year due to workplace injury and work-related illness.  This course will enable an organisation to:-

  • Understand the responsibilities of the six roles in the CDM regulations.
  • Boost employee wellbeing.
  • Strengthen your health and safety culture.

This course is aligned to Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 CDM regulations and focuses on best practices. By the end of the course you can

  • Recognise, assess and control a range of common construction hazards.
  • Develop safe systems of work and take part in incident investigations.
  • Advise on the roles, competencies and duties under construction legislation.
  • Positively influence the health and safety culture.

This course is best suited for:-

  • Construction site managers and contracts managers.
