Overview
This varied course aims to develop your awareness of current social issues and equip you with sound communication skills. This could help you find a job in many sectors like administration, business and local authority.
This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 6.
Our new NQ Entry to Social Sciences and Business is an alternative to our NC Social Sciences course. It will introduce you to the wide variety of knowledge and practical skills you'll need to work in the modern business world. The course is designed for those that have an interest in both Business and Psychology. The course is aimed at individuals wanting to progress onto HNC Business or HNC Social Sciences.
Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
- Four National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English and one social science subject such as Sociology, Modern Studies, History, Politics, Psychology, Philosophy, Geography, RMPS or Economics; OR
- National Qualification at SCQF level 5 in a related subject; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

ESOL entry requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
