This programme is your passport to mastering the art of Italian cooking, with a menu packed full of mouth-watering classics. From pasta and pizza to focaccia, risotto, and gnocchi, you’ll perfect the essentials and dive into beloved dishes like lasagne and minestrone soup.

No Italian meal would be complete without dessert. You’ll learn to whip up everything from creamy panna cotta to decadent tiramisu, all while building your confidence in the kitchen. With expert tips and insider techniques, you’ll have a blast exploring regional Italian cuisine and discovering new favourites. 

Along the way, you’ll also pick up key Italian phrases, so you can order like a local, greet new friends, and navigate Italian culture with ease.

What you study

Every week you will study Italian cookery and learn how to create traditional dishes from the ‘Bel Paese’ while learning basic Italian language skills to communicate in the culinary field and understand/provide personal information.

This short course may inspire you to explore our other evening classes on offer or pursue a full-time programme in Culinary Arts and Bakery.

How the course is taught

The cookery part will be practical classes, and you will gradually become an expert in Italian cooking.

The language part will be taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Additional Information

Materials

All cooking equipment is provided. You will be required to bring your own ingredients for the dishes commencing week 2. You will need containers to take your products home in.

Dress code

You should wear comfortable clothing and footwear for the kitchen, including an apron to protect your clothes and bring a tea towel.
