If you enjoyed the Introduction to Craft Baking class and want to develop your skills and expand your recipe book, then this is the class for you. Learn to produce well-loved nostalgic and modern cakes, pastries, artisan breads and signature bakes which you can make in your own home.
This course is perfect for you if you are looking to improve your baking and learn tips of the trade from an expert.
Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
Completing the Introduction to Craft Baking class would be beneficial, but if you are passionate about baking and have experience of weighing and measuring, then this is the class for you.
What you study
Over the duration of the course you will cover a broad range of skills and processes involved in the bakery, producing hand-crafted breads, pastries and cakes with a slightly higher degree of complexity than our introduction to craft baking class.

There are a variety of leisure classes within the Culinary Arts and Bakery department which you may wish to consider after completing the course. Please check the website for the latest course availability.
Teaching
How the course is taught
The first night we will complete a small induction and welcome you to the course. Then there will be a demonstration by the lecturer and recipes will be issued and you will then bake the product. Any dietary requirements may be discussed with the lecturer. There will be lecturer-led demonstrations every week and also the chance to ask any questions.
Additional Information
Materials
All equipment and ingredients are provided, all you will need are containers to take your products home, an apron and a tea towel for drying your dishes.
