    This HND course will give you the skills, knowledge and understanding to develop your career in the Travel and Tourism industry. You will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality customer service and enhance your own employability. The course lasts two years starting in August, but you can also leave after one year with an HNC Travel and Tourism (fee applies). 

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • HNC in Travel and Tourism (15 credits minimum).

    You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject area.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

    Continuing Study

    On successful completion of the course, you may be able to progress onto one of the following degree programmes:

    • Year three of BA (Hons) International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management (Queen Margaret University - delivered at City of Glasgow College).
    • Year three of BA (Hons) International Events and Tourism Management (Glasgow Caledonian University).
    • Year three of BA (Hons) Tourism Management (University of the West of Scotland).
    • Other BA (Hons) courses across Scotland (subject to meeting individual course entry requirements).
