  • Overview

    The sports therapy course will equip you with the skills required to help prevent injury and rehabilitate clients back to full fitness. The second year of the course focuses on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions arising from sporting activity.

    You'll also get the opportunity to work in our sports injury clinic, developing skills in clinical assessment, devising treatment plans and providing physical therapies. You may also be involved in pre and post match and touchline support for sporting events.

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • HNC Sports Therapy OR
    • First year HND Sports Therapy.

    • You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

    This course prepares you for a career as a sports therapist working freelance, in sports clubs, or as part of a government health initiative.
