Overview
This course is for employees working within mechanical engineering who would like to progress from an HNC to achieving an HND. The course is delivered 1 day per week over 2 years.

- HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

- You must be employed in engineering and be sponsored by your company.
What you study
Year 1 will normally consist of units in Plant Systems, Applied Industrial Plant Maintenance, Strength of Materials Advanced, Engineering Maths 3 and IT Applications.
Year 2 will normally consist of Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Maths 4, Business Awareness and Continuing Professional Development, Design for Manufacture and Graded Unit 2.

Assessed through a variety of means - end of unit exam, project and practical.
