    This course is for you if you would like to pursue a career in the management of events such as conferences, exhibitions and other special events.  You'll cover a wide range of subjects to ensure a good knowledge base, as well as relevant skills.

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • HNC in Events.

    You'll be invited for a group interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject area.  

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

    Any other unit required to achieve 30 credits.

    This course prepares you for a career in the organisation and management of conferences, exhibitions, festivals and special events.

    Teaching

    How the course is taught

    The course is delivered over one year. There is a blend of theory and practical delivery within the course.

    A mixture of individual reports, group work, home-based and class-based assessments.
