Overview
This highly practical course prepares you for higher education and media industry employment. On this course, the teaching staff has a wide variety of media experience and you can expect media guest speakers, visits and professional workshops. You’re continually assessed and you’ll also need to complete a graded project.
This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8.

Minimum entry requirements
- HNC Media & Communication with minimum B at Graded Unit 1.

ESOL entry requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

Teaching
How the course is taught
The course is taught through a project based delivery pattern, mostly on campus but with the capacity for online learning. This is delivered through a variety of approaches, from tutor delivery to breakout rooms online, class acitivities on campus and one to one delivery, incorporating a variety of presentations, quizzes and discussions.
Assessment methods
Continuous assessment methods are employed on this course, with a variety of open book, closed book, supervised and self-directed assessments. This means there will be several assessments per week at busy times in the year.
