  • Overview

The HNC Civil Engineering programme delivered at City of Glasgow College is designed to give you an overview of the industry and covers a broad range of subjects.

From the subjects you complete as part of the HNC programme, you may then be eligible to progress into 2nd year of a Civil Engineering HND or related degree course (direct entry into 2nd year at some universities based on an A in the graded unit) after which you can choose what area within civil engineering you wish to specialise in, from a range of specialisms such as structures, environmental, and transportation to name a few. Choosing your own path means you can do the job you enjoy, but it also allows employers to mold you from a good grounding knowledge of Civil Engineering into an area that is in demand from industry.

The world-class facilities at the City of Glasgow College will allow you to reach your potential by complementing theory with practical.

You’ll be taught by staff with significant construction industry experience and a proven track record for bringing out the best in students.

This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 7.
