Please Note: This is a school college partnership course. We can only accept online applications from Secondary School pupils in their Senior Phase.
Our Foundation Apprenticeship in Hospitality combines classroom, practical and employability-focused learning.
During this course, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to job roles in the hospitality sector.
You’ll learn about the importance of customer care, develop skills for working safely in a professional kitchen, and learn about the fundamentals of event planning and delivery.
We will help you develop your employability skills including communication, teamwork, adaptability, and empathy for others.
You’ll consider the job roles and responsibilities of the people working within the industry, and explore what qualifications are required for these roles and progression routes.
Finally, you can put your skills to the test during work experience in our training Restaurant and Bistro and work on real-life projects alongside local employer partners.
Attendance Pattern
- Tuesday and Thursday (1.30pm – 4pm).
Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
Applicants should want to learn more about the hospitality industry and be considering a career in the sector.
You must have achieved three National 4’s including Maths and English and an additional National 5 qualification.

Teaching
How the course is taught
This course benefits from a blend of classroom and workshop learning in our state-of-the-art hospitality kitchens.
This will include project work, lecturer tutorials and group tasks. You will develop and apply your learning in practice with an employer during your work-based skills challenge.
