Overview
This course will introduce you to the art of craft baking. You'll use professional recipes to make a selection of delicious bakery products that you can replicate at home to wow your friends and family.
The classes take place in a commercial bakery teaching environment, led by a fully trained baker and confectioner, who will offer you hints and tips on how to get the best from your baking.
You will learn bakery processes and techniques explained in a relaxed and friendly environment.

- No minimum entry requirement - this is a fun leisure class for amateur bakers and people looking to learn more about baking and pick up some new skills.

Some of the products you will learn to make are:
- Bakers Scones.
- Handcrafted bread.
- Empire biscuits.
- Potato scones and scotch pancakes.
- Choux pastry.
- Puff pastry – sausage rolls and apple turnovers.
- Viennese biscuits.
- Cupcakes.
- Iced gingerbread.

Materials
All equipment and ingredients are provided and you will need containers to take your products home.
Dress code
- Comfortable flat shoes.
- Cool clothes (it can get quite warm in the bakery).
- Apron to protect your clothing from splashes.
- Tea towel for drying dishes.
- Please be prepared as we bake in week 1.
