Overview

These qualifications are designed for individuals wishing to develop professional management and leadership practice, and who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive business activities in a senior management and leadership role. For the Award, you will need to complete and pass a single unit. For the Certificate, delegates must complete and pass two units.

Role and responsibilities may also include but are not limited to taking responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver organisational success. You will have the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development. 

The qualifications have been designed for practising or aspiring managers in roles such as:

  • Senior Manager.
  • Regional Manager.
  • Specialist Manager (with expertise in a specific business or technical function such as quality, finance, risk, marketing, sales IT, human resources etc).
  • Director.
  • CEO.

The units covered are:

  • Strategic Leadership.
  • Developing Organisational Strategy.

You will have the opportunity to explore the subject through a mix of training materials and guided discussions/class exercises.  There is a requirement for individuals to carry out self-directed learning as part of this course.

The CMI Level 7 Award/Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice will be issued to all successful delegates. 

Duration

  • Award: 4 days / 8 half days plus online/self-study over 2 months.
  • Certificate: 8 days / 16 half days plus online/self-study over 6 months.
