Overview
On this course, you will gain a good understanding of wok cooking, including essential techniques for both using and caring for your wok. Throughout the program, you will learn to prepare a diverse selection of quick and delicious starter and main course dishes, utilising a wide array of authentic Chinese ingredients. All ingredients can be sourced from local shops in Glasgow, providing a wonderful opportunity to explore various Chinese supermarkets and expand your culinary knowledge.
Many of the recipes can easily be adapted for vegetarian diets, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the flavours of Chinese cuisine. Each week, you will have the chance to take home a delightful dish you've prepared, along with valuable tips and techniques to enhance your cooking skills in the kitchen. Join us for this engaging culinary experience, where you'll develop your wok skills and discover the rich tapestry of flavours that Chinese cooking has to offer.
Youā€™ll complete nine weeks of demonstration led cookery lessons, creating items such as chicken satay, crispy Peking duck and firecracker chicken and mango salad.

Materials
All equipment is provided. You will be required to bring your ingredients with you after week 1. You will need containers to take your products home in.
Dress code
You should wear suitable comfortable clothing and footwear for the kitchen or bakery along with an apron to protect your clothes and bring a tea towel.
