Overview
This course will help you develop woodworking skills which will be used in the manufacture of different kinds of furniture. You will learn modern and traditional jointing techniques and apply these skills in the creation of a small table with drawer.
What you study
You will learn about the range of joints in furniture manufacture including
- Dovetail.
- Mortice and tenon.
- Dowel and biscuit.

Possible articulation onto NQ Furniture or HND Furniture Restoration or Craft.

How the course is taught
Mainly practical based in cabinet workshop. You'll be trained in the safe use of a modern well-equipped workshop.
