Overview

On this course you will be shown how to utilise materials and techniques to create beautiful acrylic abstract paintings. Your tutor, an experienced artist, will demonstrate how to create a spectacular abstract painting utilising materials and techniques to build layers of depth and texture on canvas, board and paper. 

These abstract painting lessons will inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone and create unique art. You will be encouraged to generate a sketchbook of investigation to support your paintings. 

You will learn how to:-

• Build a successful underpainting, being as free and expressive as possible. 
• Use collage to build interest in your work.
• Add layers of paint to create a compelling composition.
• Add finishing touches and details with acrylic paints to complete your new abstract masterpiece.

This step-by-step course linking colour, mood, and emotion, will inspire you and encourage you to unlock your creative potential.
