Overview
This course is designed for those seeking a career in Event Management. Throughout this course, you will cover a wide range of subjects ensuring a good knowledge base, alongside relevant practical skills necessary for a successful career in the exciting, dynamic events sector.
This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8.

Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
- Two Highers at Grade C or above including one from Business Management, English, Modern Studies, Economics, History or similar; OR
- Relevant NQ Award at SCQF Level 6; OR
- PDA Events SCQF Level 6; OR
- Equivalent qualifications or extensive supervisory/management experience.
Applicants with an HNC Events Management are encouraged to apply directly onto the 2nd year of the programme.

ESOL entry requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

Teaching
How the course is taught
The course is delivered over 2 years. The units are divided over 2 semesters each year. There is a blend of both theory and practical delivery within the course.
