Overview

This screen-printing course is designed for students who are new to screen-printing or those looking to refresh their skills. The course methodically introduces various screen-printing techniques, starting with initial stencils and advancing to photographic methods. It also explores more painterly approaches using an open screen.

Screen-printing is a versatile medium, capable of producing both graphic and expressive results. The first part of the course focuses on mastering printing techniques, while the latter weeks allow students to apply their knowledge to develop personal projects. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of screen-printing methods and techniques, enabling them to print confidently in at least two colours.

This course is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to progress into daytime courses or prepare a portfolio for art school. While the primary focus is on printing on paper, there will also be opportunities to print on t-shirts and fabric.
