How to Apply - Weekend and Evening Courses
When can I book an evening or weekend course?
We have a limited number of upcoming evening courses we are taking bookings for. To find out more on these courses please visit our course search function on the website. Alternatively you can call us on 0141 375 5191.
For evening courses commencing August 2025, bookings will open from 30th April 2025.
Booking a Course
What happens when I book?
You'll be asked to complete a simple registration process to create your account and complete the booking process. You'll need a current email and we'll use this to contact you if we need to. Once you’ve set this up, you can view your booked courses and confirm the start date, time, location and fee.
What if I can't book online?

What happens if a course is full?
Please email ptadmissions@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk and your name can be added to the waiting list for that course.
What about fees?
Our evening and weekend courses have a fee which is shown on the course information page but you may get some help depending on your income.
Do you offer fee waivers?
On some weekend and evening courses, we have a limited number of fee waivers. Students in receipt of benefits or students from the following low income thresholds may be eligible subject to availability:
• Households with only one person: £8,282.
• Households consisting of a couple without children: £12,395.
• Households with dependent children: £18,977are eligible for fee waiver subject to availability.
Part Time Course Fee Waiver Form - Please complete fee waiver application form as soon as possible. We will assess your fee waiver application and inform you if you have been accepted. Documentary evidence to support fee waiver must be sent within 3 months of course start date, for example, June for course's starting in August 2024. Some students on part-time courses may be able to apply for a fee waiver, eligible students must be on certain benefits or low income (details on form). Please contact ptadmissions@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk for more information as not all courses have fee waiver places. As courses may also have limited fee waiver places students who are eligible for fee waiver, will be processed and authorised in date order.

Cancellations made before the course start date will result in a 20% administration charge of the course fee.
Failure to attend the course within 10 days of the course start date will result in an invoice being sent for the full course fee by the Finance Department. Please contact Finance by email finance@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk for further information.
What if my employer or another company is paying for my course?
To book please email ptadmissions@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk. We'll need your personal details and your company’s details. Once you’ve booked your course you'll receive a Company Authorisation form by email which should be returned to finance@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk. before the start date of the course.
What if I want to book for someone else, or book a course as a gift?
You can book by sending an email ptadmissions@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk or call us on 0141 375 5193 we will send you a pro-forma which has the college bank details and you can pay this directly to the college You’ll need to have the student’s name, date of birth and information about any additional support they might need together with your contact details.
What if I change my mind, or want to cancel?
If you’ve booked a weekend or evening course and need to cancel before the course has started we’ll offer a refund less 20% of the course fee, for administration. If you do not bring in your documentation for a Fee Waiver within the 5 working days the £5 is non-refundable. If you choose to withdraw once a course has started, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund. Transfers from one course to another course or from one term to another term are generally treated as a withdrawal.

What if the college cancels the course?
Courses will only run where there are a sufficient number of bookings. If you’ve booked and we need to cancel the course we’ll give you a full refund. We’ll let you know as soon as possible if the course is to be cancelled and we will use your email and telephone details to contact you directly.
Is there parking available?
There is no dedicated parking for students at our City Centre Campus. There is, however, some limited car parking spaces for those with mobility difficulties (blue badge holders) which are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is free street parking after 6pm and parking is available in Buchanan Galleries for £2 for entry after 5pm until 9pm.

Under 16’s
If you have booked a place and are under 16 you will receive a Parent/Guardian Consent Form which you must complete and your parent/guardian must sign and return to ptadmissions@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk. We are unable to enrol children or young adults onto their course without this information. Contact Student Services if you require a form.
Part Time Fee Grant
Applications can be made through the SAAS website by creating an account.
The college can advise how much you would normally receive if you are eligible and how much you may have to pay towards your course fee, for further information please check eligibility on the SAAS website.
Track your application through your SAAS account. The deadline for submitting applications to SAAS is 6 months after the course start date.
